The Town of Leesburg provides weekly curbside trash, recycling, yard waste, and bulk item collection for most residents (some condominium and all apartment complexes have dumpsters).

Trash & Recycling Toters/Containers

The Town provides trash and recycling toters/container to each household receiving curbside collection. If your toters/containers are missing or damaged when you move in, please contact Patriot Disposal at 703-771-6677 or leesburgsupport@patriotdisposalservices.com.

• If moving from another state, you must update your license and register your vehicle(s) with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. The Leesburg DMV Office is located at 400 Fort Evans Road NE.  The Leesburg DMV is open Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, and Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.   Toll Free Numbers: 1-866-DMVLINE (1-866-368-5463) or 800-435-5137.
  
  
• In addition, you must register your vehicle(s) with the Loudoun County Commissioner of the Revenue within 60 days of moving into town or purchasing a new vehicle.
  
  
• Loudoun County bills and collects personal property taxes for the Town of Leesburg. You will receive a single bill for both Town and County taxes and will make a single payment to Loudoun County. In addition, the Town levies an annual vehicle license fee which is $25.00 for automobiles and $15.00 for motorcycles. This fee is due annually and will be billed with personal property taxes.
  
  
• Please note that the Town of Leesburg does not require residents to display a windshield decal as proof of vehicle registration.

Loudoun County Public Schools provide comprehensive education from kindergarten through Grade 12, including special education, gifted/talented, vocational and English as a second language (ESL) programs.

All Town of Leesburg residents who are United States citizens and are at least 18 years old are eligible to vote in Loudoun County and Town of Leesburg elections. 

If you did not register to vote when you received or changed your address on your Virginia driver's license, you should register with the Loudoun County Voter Registration Office.

Dogs older than 4 months must have an annual Loudoun County license. Dog licenses can be purchased at the following locations:
