Trash & Recycling Collection Schedules

The Town of Leesburg provides free weekly trash, recycling, yard waste and bulk item collection for residents.  The collection schedule is:

  • Trash & Recycling
    • Monday - Northwest Leesburg
    • Tuesday - Northeast Leesburg, Inside the Bypass
    • Wednesday - Northeast Leesburg, Outside the Bypass
    • Thursday- Southwest Leesburg, plus Meadowbrook
    • Friday - Southeast Leesburg, except Meadowbrook

  • Yard Waste
    • Monday - Townwide
  • Bulk Items are collected by request only. To make a request, visit the Bulk Item Pickup page.

The Town provides trash and recycling Toters to each household receiving curbside collection. If your Toters are missing or damaged when you move in, please contact Patriot Disposal at 703-771-6677 or leesburgsupport@patriotdisposalservices.com.

The Town of Leesburg also provides free brush collection as well as seasonal bulk leaf pickup, Christmas tree recycling and semiannual document shredding events.  For more information about all of the services offered by the Town's Public Works Department, please visit the department's webpage or download a copy of their Resident's Guide to Services (Guia para servicios de obras publicas).

Register Your Vehicle(s)

  • If moving from another state, you must update your license and register your vehicle(s) with the Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles. The Leesburg DMV Office is located at 945 Edwards Ferry Road NE.  The Leesburg DMV is open Monday – Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm, and Saturday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.   Toll Free Numbers: 1-866-DMVLINE (1-866-368-5463) or 800-435-5137.
  • In addition, you must register your vehicle(s) with the Loudoun County Commissioner of the Revenue within 60 days of moving into town or purchasing a new vehicle.
  • Upon registering your vehicle with Loudoun County, you will receive a license fee bill from the Town. The vehicle license fee is $25.00 for automobiles and $15.00 for motorcycles. This fee is due annually and will be billed with personal property taxes.

Register your child(ren) with Loudoun County Public Schools

Loudoun County Public Schools provide comprehensive education from kindergarten through Grade 12, including special education, gifted/talented, vocational and English as a second language (ESL) programs.

Dog licenses can be purchased at the following locations:
