Every year, the Town Council prepares a Legislative Program that is presented to the Leesburg/Loudoun members of the Virginia General Assembly.  This program outlines issues of interest or concern to the Town of Leesburg on which the Town Council requests action from Virginia General Assembly during its annual session. 

The 2026 Virginia General Assembly Session will convene in Richmond January 14, 2026. The Town Council adopted its 2026 Legislative Program on July 8, 2025. An amended Legislative Program was adopted September 9, 2025.
