The Leesburg Police Department Emergency Communications Center consists of thirteen highly trained, professional Public Safety Communicators to include four Shift Supervisors and a Sergeant. Our Communication Technicians work eleven hour shifts on a rotating two week schedule. They are committed to answering all 911 and non-emergency calls with professionalism, integrity, and compassion while efficiently dispatching police. The duties of the Communication Technician include, but are not limited to, radio communication, call taking, record keeping, computer entry, and warrant entry. Our police dispatchers are able to maintain a high level of multi-tasking, quick response and rapid problem solving skills as well as the ability to operate 911 computer software, various public announcement tools, and multi-function telephone systems. The Leesburg Police Emergency Communication Dispatch Center is manned 24 hours a day, around the clock and is located at 65 Plaza Street in Leesburg.
