In 2003, the Town revised its Zoning Ordinance as adopted by Council Ordinance No. 2003-0-2. The Zoning Ordinance was adopted to protect the health, safety, and welfare of the residents and businesses of Leesburg; to advance the objectives set out in Section 15.2-2200 of the Code of Virginia (1950, as amended); and to implement the Town Plan. The Zoning Map and subsequent amendments were added as needed to assure good governance.
