Below you will find a variety of Arts and Crafts classes for youths and adults offered during the school year by the Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department. Each class is lead by an experienced instructor. We have arts and crafts classes for children and adults.
ARTS AND CRAFTS
Crafty Young Artists
(Ages 3-7) Create works of art using watercolors, acrylics, and various other crafting material in these fun.
(Ages 4-6)Young artist will be introduced to the five basic elements of drawing, discover the fun of colors, and use of ones imagination.
Painting with Acrylics
(Ages 6-14) Study the masters and learn easy techniques to paint your own creation. Drawing skills and art history will also be explored during these sessions.
The Art of Sewing
(Ages 6 & Up) Learn easy techniques using hands and machine in this fun beginners class. A sewing machine will be available, however, participants are encouraged to bring their own machines.
Mini Artist by Abrakadoodle®
(Ages 3-5) An art experience that engages children with mult-media art lessons that will inspire your child's imagination. Children will explore shapes, color, and textures by uusing different materials and tools to create imaginative art work.
Parent and Me by Abrakadoodle®
(Ages 20 months-3) Young artist get the chance to explore different art materials such as paints, modeling compounds, and other wonderful art materials.
Young Rembrandts™ - Cartooning
(Ages 6-12) We use step-wise instruction to encourage students to create their own independent versions of our cartoon lessons, with animated characters in humorous settings. Our curriculum is varied and challenging, with new, engaging cartooning lessons every week, and every session.
Young Rembrandts™ - Drawing
(Ages 6-12) Students learn and develop drawing skills and art appreciation through our progressive, open-ended approach to drawing. We use step-wise instruction to inspire students' independent drawings, including seasonal, realistic, and abstract images.
