Ida Lee Park Recreation Center closed until further notice.
Due to continuing concerns about COVID-19 and taking into consideration the health and safety of our participants and staff, the Town of Leesburg Parks and Recreation has made the decision to cancel all summer camps and all summer programs. Staff will be working on issuing full refunds to all that have already registered for summer camps.
With the Northern Virginia region entering Phase 1 of the Governor’s Forward Virginia plan for reopening, the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department will reopen the outdoor tennis courts, community gardens, dog park, and skate park on Friday, May 29, 2020. Playgrounds, basketball courts, ballfields, and park pavilions will remain closed.
The outdoor courts at the Ida Lee Park Tennis Center will be open daily from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Private tennis lessons will be available with a two-player limit per class. For court reservations and other questions, contact the Ida Lee Tennis Center at 703-737-6068. Face masks will be required if players wish to access the tennis pavilion or restrooms.
The community gardens at Ida Lee Park will be open for registered gardeners, the dog park at Olde Izaak Walton Park will be open with regular hours of dawn to dusk, and the Eric Brown Skate Plaza at Catoctin Park will be open daily with limited hours from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Starting Monday, June 1, 2020, Ida Lee Recreation Center will offer a limited number of outdoor fitness classes. Class information is posted on the Ida Lee Recreation Center website at www.idalee.org. Registration will begin Thursday, May 28, 2020, at 9 a.m. Register is available through WebTrac (www.leesburgva.gov/webtrac) or by calling 703-777-1368.
All park and facility rentals are cancelled through June 10, 2020.
Due to the evolving coronavirus crisis, the following areas within Town parks remain closed until further notice:
- All playgrounds
- Ballfields at Robinson Park
- Soccer/lacrosse fields at Ida Lee Park
- Basketball courts at Greenway Park, Rotary Park, and Foxridge Park
- Pavilions at Ida Lee Park, Foxridge Park, Tuscarora Park, Potomac Crossing Park, and Edwards Landing Park
- All spring & summer class and camps have been cancelled
- AV Symington Aquatic Center
While the trails and open spaces are open, please practice social distancing while utilizing these amenities.
