Project Description: The Hogback Mountain tank is a 2 million gallon ground storage water tank located in the southwest portion of Leesburg, in the western portion of Country Club subdivision. The interior of the tank had not been repainted since it was constructed in 1989 over 20 years ago and the exterior was last recoated in 2000.
This project included surface preparation and recoating of the standpipe tank’s interior and exterior. In addition, water inlet/outlet pipes in the tank were modified to improve water turn-over rate in the tank in order to avoid water stagnation.
Project Status: This project was completed in October 2010.
