The Town of Leesburg is committed to maintaining and upgrading the facilities at the Leesburg Executive Airport, through careful planning and implementation of on-going improvements. The Airport Commission and the Town of Leesburg regularly review and prioritize improvement plans to best serve the Leesburg aviation community in a fiscally responsible manner.
The airport is completing an update of the Airport Master Plan document. Developed by Talbert & Bright airport engineers and planners, the plan update looks at existing facilities and forecasts future aviation demand. This information helps determine an airport development plan for the next 10 to 20 years. While the final version is not yet adopted, a draft version of the Airport Master Plan document is available for download: Draft Airport Master Plan.
2007 Airport Master Plan
The current Airport Master Plan, developed by Campbell & Paris Engineers, was adopted by the Town Council in March 2007 and approved by the FAA in May 2007. The Airport Master Plan is a living document, telling the history of the airport and planning its future development based on growth potential. Copies of the airport layout plans, showing existing and future facilities, from the March 2007 Airport Master Plan, are available for download.
