Thomas Balch Library offers a wide variety of services to the Leesburg community and beyond.
Thomas Balch Library will make available, free of charge, one set of disposable earphones for patrons to use with audio-visual archival collections. Patrons wishing to use earphones for other uses, such as internet sites or music, may purchase a pair for $1 and reuse them on subsequent visits, or provide their own.
Thomas Balch Library has public computers with access to the Internet and Thomas Balch Library’s subscription databases. There is a one (1) hour time limit on computer use. Self-service printing is available at $.25 per page.
Thomas Balch Library has wireless internet access (Wi-Fi). Registration and a photo i.d. is required. Please see library staff for connection information.
Available to Loudoun County residents with a valid Thomas Balch Library or Loudoun County Public Library card. $5 per request, limit to 5 requests at one time. Please contact the library using our web-based form or call 703-737-7195 for additional information.
Thomas Balch Library offers both self-serve and staff-assisted copy services for black & white photocopies from copy machine, printer, or microfilm printer. Sizes: 8 ½” x 11”, 8 ½” x 14”, 11” x 17”. Some restrictions apply when making photocopies. Please be familiar with our Photocopying Policy Self-service copies are available at $.25 per page. Staff-assisted color copies are available at $1.00 per page. Self-service scanning is not available. Thomas Balch Library does not allow tutoring-for-hire in either its public areas or its meeting room, and is unable to proctor exams.
Thomas Balch Library does not have a fax machine available for public use.
