Due to concerns over the novel Coronavirus, criminal history check services are suspended until further notice.
A local criminal history check can be obtained for any person who resides in the Town of Leesburg. Requests must be made in person at the Leesburg Police Department, Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Bring a completed LPD Criminal History Record Request form and two forms of identification. One form of identification must be a government-issued photo ID (driver's license, passport, military ID or alien resident card) and the other must be a U.S. Social Security card or birth certificate. Foreign birth certificates must be accompanied by a professional translation.
The criminal history check will include a history of criminal arrests by the Leesburg Police Department that resulted in convictions. A statewide criminal history check can be obtained from the Virginia State Police.
