Camp Independence is designed for high school students with disabilities. Through engaging, hands-on activities, workshops, and interactive sessions, our goal is to empower participants with the knowledge and skills they need to navigate the world with confidence and resilience.

Instruction will be provided by Leesburg Police Department School Resource Officers and community partners.

Topics may include:

• Budgeting and shopping
• Cooking and food preparation
• Law enforcement contact and safety
• Basic first aid
• Animal care and safe handling
• Job interview preparation

Campers should bring their lunch each day. A Camp Independence t-shirt will be provided for every participant.

This program is presented in partnership with Loudoun County Public Schools, Loudoun County Animal Services, Leesburg Volunteer Fire Station Company 20, and other community partners.
