About the Program

The Leesburg Police Department’s Traffic Management Unit (TMU) is dedicated to promoting roadway safety and reducing traffic-related injuries and fatalities. The program focuses on improving driving behavior, addressing hazardous conditions, and enhancing the overall safety and efficiency of the Town’s transportation system.

  

 

 

The Role of the Unit

TMU officers specialize in traffic enforcement, serious crash investigations, and targeted safety initiatives. The unit identifies high-risk areas and driving behaviors, conducts focused enforcement efforts, and investigates collisions to determine causes and improve future prevention.
