The Town of Leesburg invites all residents to Play All Day on Sunday, June 21st, 2026! We are joining organizations across the state in observing this initiative designed by the Virginia Recreation & Park Society.
Below are some ideas for all ages to spend a whole day playing in town!

Nature Opportunities
1. Garden Walk at Mervin Jackson Park
Explore the landscaped areas around Town Hall, relax, and enjoy one of downtown Leesburg’s most scenic spaces.
2. Tree Identification at Ida Lee Park
Explore the trails throughout the park and see how many native trees you can identify using this guide: https://www.leesburgva.gov/departments/parks-recreation/town-parks/native-tree-walk
3. Nature Break at Potomac Crossing Park
Enjoy the riverside setting and explore the trails at this spectacular park.
4. Take a Stroll at Olde Izaak Walton Park
Spend some time exploring this calm natural setting near the heart of town.
History Opportunities
1. Historic Downtown Walking Tours in Leesburg

2. Visit Loudoun Museum
Learn about the region’s past through exhibits covering local history, culture, and notable events tied to Loudoun County.
3. Explore Dodona Manor
