Independence Day Parade

Downtown Leesburg, King Street from Ida Lee Drive to Fairfax Street.
Start the holiday by showing your patriotic spirit at the annual Independence Day Parade, held through Historic Downtown Leesburg beginning at 10:00 am.
The parade will start at Ida Lee Park, lead by the American Originals and travel down King Street and conclude at Fairfax Street. Put on your patriotic best and join your friends and neighbors to celebrate the birthday of the United States!
This year’s parade will also feature the 15th annual Patriot’s Cup Competition, sponsored by the Loudoun Now newspaper. This award will go to the best parade entry; winners’ names will be engraved on the Patriot Cup, which will be on display at Town Hall.
A real patriot treat for the parade is the parade prelude of the American Originals fife & Drum Corps sponsored by Toth Financial! This patriotic group will travel the parade route beginning at 9:45am from Ida Lee Park and stop throughout the route for short performances for the crowd to enjoy!

King Street will close to through-traffic at 9:30 am in preparation for the parade. Downtown streets will re-open at approximately 12 pm.
Concert and Fireworks at Ida Lee Park

Celebrate America’s big day at Ida Lee Park and enjoy a great night of music, food, fireworks, and fun!
Gates open at 6:00 pm and music starts at 6:30 pm, so be sure to arrive early and grab a spot for a full night of celebration.
The Silver Bullets will wow us with an eclectic mix of songs from today’s Top 40 hits back to 1960s classics.
A full food court will be onsite with funnel cakes, ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, tacos, and so much more.
The biggest bang of the evening begins at 9:30 pm when the largest fireworks show in the region will light up the sky. Choreographed to patriotic music, this light show is not to be missed.
Parking is available at the interior lots off Ida Lee Drive, and the Festival Field parking off King Street. Due to limited parking availability at Ida Lee Park, we cannot accommodate RV or bus parking in any of the parking fields. The Town of Leesburg staff will work hard to ensure that as many vehicles as possible are parked in the park, so attendees are asked to be patient while waiting to enter and exit. The Town also reminds our guests to use designated crosswalks.
Leesburg Fire and Rescue Volunteers will be on site to provide medical assistance if needed.
Coolers and large bags are permitted but will be checked at gate entrances.
Pets, alcohol, glass bottles and personal fireworks (including sparklers) are not permitted.
In the event of a cancellation due to weather, fireworks will be rescheduled for July 5th at 9:30 pm. No other activities will be rescheduled. Please note: Every effort will be made to hold the event on its scheduled date. The start time of the fireworks may be adjusted to avoid incoming rain and/or severe weather.

Due to limited parking, no RV or bus parking will be permitted at Ida Lee Park Festival Parking Filed.
Please remember that the following items are prohibited.
- No personal fireworks (including sparklers)
- No alcoholic beverages
- No pets
- No glass containers
- No grills
- No pop-up tents or canopies may be set up inside the Festival Field. Canopies must be set up against the fence line. Please ask an event staff member if you have any questions about where canopies are permitted.
All bags and coolers will be subject to inspection upon entering the festival area.
