Royal Street Improvements - Church Street to Liberty Street project information from Fiscal Year 2027 Budget (Project No. 23301)

Project Description:  This project will improve approximately 1,200 linear feet of Royal Street between Church Street SE and Liberty Street SW. The improvements will make the area more walkable, fix drainage problems, improve aesthetics of the area, and generally improve the roadway corridor. The project will review the potential for undergrounding utilities, and will design and construct waterline and sewer upgrades, which will be paid for by Utilities. This project will improve sustainability in the Town by improving bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

Project Updates:  As of June 12, 2026 - There is no funding for this project until Fiscal Year 2028. Survey and design are anticipated to begin in summer of 2027.
