Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2030

Project Description: This project will improve approximately 720 linear feet of North Street between King Street and Old Waterford Road and will improve the connection between the Senior Center of Leesburg to King Street and the Downtown. The project consists of pavement reconstruction, drainage improvements, new and rehabilitated sidewalks, driveway aprons, curb and gutter, and curb ramps in accordance with standards of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). The project will also replace and existing 12" water main in the project area. Costs for the waterline design and construction will be paid for by Utilities. This project will improve sustainability in the Town by reducing power consumption through the switch to LED streetlights, reducing light and glare by using full cutoff streetlights, and improving pedestrian connectivity through improved ADA compliance for the curb ramps.
