Davis Court Bridge Conversion
Davis Court Bridge Conversion project information from Fiscal Year 2026 Budget (Project No. 21301)
Construction Start Date: Summer 2026
Estimated Completion Date: TBD
Project Description: Davis Court provides the only vehicular access into Izaak Walton Park and the Town’s Dog Park. The proposed Crescent Park development will provide alternate vehicular access to Olde Izaak Walton Park. After the alternate access is developed, the existing substandard bridge, constructed in 1971, can be converted to provide non-motorized access only. Based on recent inspections, the bridge is classified as being structurally deficient. The project timeline is dependent on development of alternate access with the Crescent Parke development.
Project Updates: As of September 26, 2025 - Repair work to the bridge was completed and Olde Izaak Walton Park and the Leesburg Dog Park have reopened. Repairs included steel beam replacement, masonry repairs, and concrete and asphalt work. There is no funding for the conversion of the bridge to non-motorized access only until Fiscal Year 2027.
