Davis Court Bridge Conversion
Davis Court Bridge Conversion project information from Fiscal Year 2027 Budget (Project No. 21301)
Construction Start Date: Summer 2026
Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2029
Project Description: This project provides for structural rehabilitation of the Davis Court Bridge, which provides the only vehicular access into Olde Izaak Walton Park and the Town’s Dog Park. Based on recent inspections, the bridge was classified as being structurally deficient and had to be replaced to allow emergency vehicles to access the site (completed in FY 2026). The proposed Crescent Parke development will provide alternate vehicular access to Olde Izaak Walton Park. After the alternate access is developed, the existing bridge can be converted to provide non-motorized access only. (a potential future project).
Project Updates: As of March 2, 2026 - Repair work to the bridge was completed in September of 2025 and Olde Izaak Walton Park and the Leesburg Dog Park were reopened. Repairs included steel beam replacement, masonry repairs, and concrete and asphalt work. There is no funding for the conversion of the bridge to non-motorized access only until Fiscal Year 2027.
