Church Street, South Street, Harrison Street Improvements project information from Fiscal Year 2027 Budget (Project No. 24301)

Project Description:  This project provides for the design and construction of roadway and sidewalk improvements on Church Street (from Royal Street to South Street), South Street (from Church Street to Harrison Street), and Harrison Street (south of the South Street intersection). The proposed improvements will include new curb and gutter where needed, completion of missing sidewalk segments, and other roadway modifications to promote traffic calming and pedestrian safety. The existing 4" waterline along South Street will also be reconstructed as part of a Utilities capital project at the same time the road improvements are taking place. This project will improve sustainability in the Town by improving bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure.

Project Updates:  As of August 20, 2026 - Survey work for this project is expected to commence at the beginning of September and will take approximately two months to complete.
