Project Description: This project provides for the installation of approximately 110 feet of 5-foot-wide sidewalk to complete a missing portion of sidewalk on the west side of Church Street between the Church and Market mixed use development and East Market Street. The project includes a utility pole relocation and installation of a retaining wall with stone facade as well as six streetlights including power supply (two on Church Street along the new sidewalk; one at corner of Church Street and East Market Street and three on East Market Street between King Street and Church Street).

Project Updates:   As of January 6, 2026 - There is no funding for this project until Fiscal Year 2029.   

In September 2025 the Town Council provided authorization to apply for additional revenue sharing grant money.  The revenue sharing is a collaborative effort between the Town of Leesburg and the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).   The revenue sharing application is processing.
