Project Description:  Tuscarora Creek has significantly deteriorated the low water crossing between two cul-de-sacs on Lawson Road. A new stream crossing will provide bicycle and pedestrian access to the W&OD Trail from residential communities. Bank erosion approximately 200 feet upstream of the crossing will be stabilized to reduce further bank loss.

Project Updates: As of April 15, 2026 – The contractor has begun placing concrete for the base of the box culvert, marking an important step in keeping the project moving forward.  Prior to this work, a water diversion system was installed on March 25, 2026, to allow excavation for the box culvert to begin.  Substantial completion of this project is expected in November 2026, and the project remains on schedule.
