Liberty Lot Resurfacing, Access, and Lighting Improvements project information from Fiscal Year 2027 Budget (Project No. 26302)
Project Start Date: Summer 2027
Estimated Completion Date: Fall 2029
Project Manager: Doug Wagner (703) 771-6671
Project Description: This project provides for the upgrade of the existing access to the Liberty Street Parking Lot by widening the one-way exit onto South Street to convert it to a two-way exit and entrance and widen the Liberty street access to two ways. The project will also resurface the lot and upgrade the lighting to more sustainable, energy-efficient lights. The Liberty Street Parking Lot is a 2.03-acre parcel in downtown Leesburg currently being used as a surface parking lot. The property also includes a 1,500 square foot Public Works annex building. This project will allow vehicles entering the lot from King Street to avoid driving on Royal Street to access the lot.
Project Updates: This project is not funded until 2031.
