“Wave Parade” to Feature Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty

The patriotic four-night parade will begin at 6 p.m. each night., June 29 through July 2

Leesburg, VA (June 23, 2020) – The Leesburg Parks and Recreation Department, in partnership with the Leesburg Police Department and Leesburg Volunteer Fire Company, will host a Fourth of July “wave parade” from Monday, June 29 to Thursday, July 2 beginning at 6 p.m.

Similar to the annual “Santa Ride”, the parade will feature Uncle Sam and Lady Liberty who will ride on top of a patriotic fire truck while visiting local neighborhoods. Detailed routes will be available on the Town’s website,, and on social media each night. Residents may also choose to download the “GLYMPSE” application and follow along on their smartphones. The link will be posted to social media prior to each show.
