Contractor Chat to Feature Booz Allen Hamilton and SBA

Small federal contractors will learn how to do business with large prime contractors.

Leesburg, VA (February 25, 2020) – In collaboration with the Town of Leesburg’s Economic Development Office, the Mason Enterprise Center in Leesburg will hold its next Contractor Chat session on Monday, March 2, 2020, from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., at 202 Church Street SE in downtown Leesburg. This no-cost event is open to all, but particularly of value to small government contractors. Lunch will be provided and sponsored by RKN, CPAs. 

Come learn how to be ready to successfully subcontract with prime contractors such as Booz Allen Hamilton. This month features an extended program with two speakers who will share with you the preparation, financial readiness, mindset, and strategies needed to do business with prime contractors.

First up is Robert Duhart, Booz Allen Hamilton's Lead in their Small Business Office. Duhart's previous experience notably includes, VP of Business Development and Operations with ST International, VP of Federal Business Development with Suh'Dutsing Technologies and Director of Small Business Outreach with U.S. EPA. He will talk about what Booz is looking for in subcontractors and the best way to approach opportunities that may be available.  

The second presenter is Roderick (Rod) Johnson who is currently a Lending Relations/Small Business Development Center Project Officer for the SBA’s Washington D.C. Metropolitan District Office. His presentation will focus on financial aspects of your business that you should have in order before working with large primes. Johnson is a native Washingtonian with over 30 years of experience in Commercial/ Business Banking lending specifically to the Not-for-Profit, Government Contracting and Commercial Real Estate industries.
