Leesburg Woman Injured in Crash Involving Pedestrian
Leesburg, VA (January 15, 2020) – The Leesburg Police Department Traffic Management Unit (TMU) is investigating a crash involving a pedestrian that occurred last evening.
On January 14, 2020 shortly after 7:00 PM, Leesburg Police Dispatchers received reports of a crash involving a pedestrian in the area of Harrison Street SE at Catoctin Circle SE. Upon arrival, police located the female victim laying in the roadway suffering from injuries as a result of the collision. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene.
The 76-year-old woman was transported by ambulance, due to the weather, to a local trauma center where she is listed as being in serious, but non-life threatening condition.
The crash remains under investigation by the Leesburg Police Department TMU. Anyone who witnessed the crash and who has not already spoken to law enforcement is asked to contact Officer S.
