Leesburg, VA (October 17, 2019) – The entire fitness room, at Ida Lee, will be closed on Sunday October 20, from 6 to 8 p.m. to prepare for the installation of new exercise equipment.

During their October 15 meeting, the Leesburg Town Council approved a number of pieces to be replaced. The closure will allow staff to prepare for the upgrades by updating the infrastructure of the room.

Work will continue throughout the week and is expected to be completed by Friday, November 1, 2019. During this process, the weight section of the fitness room will remain open. A portion of the cardio machines (limited treadmills, bikes, ellipticals) will be moved to the left side of the gymnasium for public use.

The right side of the gymnasium will remain unaffected, however there will be no volleyball during this time period. In addition, most weekday classes, held in the Multi-Purpose Room from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. will be held in the lower level. Weekend classes will not be affected.

For more information and a list of affected fitness classes, please contact the front desk by calling 703-777-1368.
