Town Launches “Legacy Leesburg” Website for Town Plan Update

Interactive features on website will allow residents to provide feedback on a variety of topics throughout the update process.

Legacy Leesburg LogoLeesburg, VA (September 11, 2019) – The Town of Leesburg recently launched a dedicated website for the Town Plan Update currently under way. The “Legacy Leesburg” website ( will include information on the current status of the update project, details about upcoming events, and interactive features like polls and comment forms that allow residents and other stakeholders to provide feedback, as well as photos and documents from project meetings and events.

Participation in the interactive features of the Legacy Leesburg website does require registration. Registrants will be asked to supply their names and email addresses and to indicate whether or not they live and/or work in Leesburg. No other personal information will be gathered.

The Leesburg Town Plan is a policy document that guides the future development of the Town. The current plan was adopted in June 2012. The Town has hired a team of consultants led by Stantec Architecture to produce a complete rewrite of the Town Plan. The project is expected to be completed in Summer 2020.
