Three Charged After Weekend Incident Involving a Firearm
Two Leesburg residents and an Ashburn resident have been charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, attempted robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting into an occupied vehicle in relation to an incident which occurred in the early morning hours on March 16, 2019 in the 500 block of Fort Evans Road NE.
The investigation has revealed that the three suspects attempted to rob the victim who immediately fled the area in his vehicle. As the victim was fleeing the area, one of the suspects fired a weapon striking the victims’ vehicle. No one was injured during the incident.
The suspects were identified as Elizabeth Lazeri, 19, of Ashburn, Riley Orwig, 22, of Leesburg, and Michael Avjean, 22, of Leesburg. Lazeri and Orwig were arrested and each was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery and attempted robbery. Avjean was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery, attempted robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, and shooting into an occupied vehicle.
All suspects are being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center without bond.
