Friends of Leesburg Public Arts Seeks Artists to Participate in “$50 Friends 5x7 Art Works!” Art Show and Fundraiser

Proceeds from the sale of donated art works will support Leesburg public art initiatives.

Friends of Leesburg Public Arts logoLeesburg, VA (February 28, 2018) – Friends of Leesburg Public Arts (FOLPA) invites local artists to donate small art works to its $50 Friends, 5x7 Art Works! art sale and fundraiser. The art works can be of any medium and subject, but should be unframed and signed only on the back of each piece. Two-dimensional works should be no larger than 5 inches by 7 inches.  Three-dimensional works should be no larger than 5 inches by 5 inches by 7 inches. Deadline for artists to register is March 31, 2018 and art works must be delivered by April 24, 2018. Details and artist registration form are available on the FOLPA website at www.leesburgpublicarts.org, under the Events tab.

The donated art will be displayed anonymously at TRYST Gallery (312 East Market Street) on Friday and Saturday, April 27 and 28, 2018. Every art work will be available for purchase for $50. All proceeds from the event will support Leesburg public art initiatives.

On Friday, April 27, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., TRYST Gallery will host an opening reception and sale for the show. The community is invited to come meet the participating artists.  All remaining artwork will be sold on Saturday, April 28, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
