Leesburg Town Hall Parking Garage Automation Project Begins on Thursday, January 25, 2018
Parking garage will remain fully operational throughout the automation equipment installation process.
Leesburg, VA (January 22, 2018) – The first phase of the Leesburg Town Hall Parking Garage automation project will begin this week with tree and attendant booth removal on the Market Street side of the garage.
On Thursday and Friday, January 25 and 26, 2018, the Market Street garage entrance and exit lanes will be closed for removal of the four honey locust trees and the two attendant booths. However, on both days, one entrance lane will remain open until 9:00 a.m. The entrance and exit lanes will reopen each afternoon once that day’s work is complete. Actual work completion time will depend on weather, equipment, and other factors.
The Loudoun Street entrance and exit lanes will not be affected this week. All vehicles will be able to enter and exit the garage on the Loudoun Street side.
Garage entrance improvements, starting with concrete demolition, will begin next week. Details of the construction schedule will be released later this week.
Beginning on Wednesday evening, January 24, 2018, at 7:00 p.m., and through the duration of the automation equipment installation, parking in the garage will be free, but reserved spaces remain in force. The garage will remain fully operational with no loss of parking spaces.
The project is expected to be completed in mid-April 2018.
