Leesburg, VA (August 28, 2026) – The Leesburg Police Department has arrested a person in connection with the August 21 shooting in the 0 block of Fort Evans Road NE that left one person injured.
This morning, the Leesburg Police Department, with assistance from the Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office, served a search warrant in the 0 block of Fort Evans Road SE as part of the ongoing investigation. A juvenile was arrested and charged with:
- One count of aggravated malicious wounding
- One count of attempted malicious wounding
- One count of wearing a mask to conceal identity
- One count of discharge a firearm within town limits
- One count of conspiracy to commit a felony
On August 21, at approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to the 0 block of Fort Evans Road NE for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. The victim was transported to an area hospital and has since been released.
Because the individual is a juvenile, identifying information is not being released at this time.
