Leesburg Police Investigate Shooting That Left One Injured
Post Date:08/22/2026 9:37 AMLeesburg, VA (August 22, 2026) – The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a shooting that left one person injured Friday night.
At approximately 10 p.m., officers responded to the 0 block of Fort Evans Road NE for a report of a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment and is currently listed in stable condition.
The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available and when appropriate.
