Leesburg Police Arrest Suspect in Church Burglary Investigation

Leesburg, VA (July 21, 2026) – The Leesburg Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a burglary that occurred earlier this year at the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Leesburg.

On Friday, March 20, 2026, officers responded to the Seventh-day Adventist Church, located at 712 Dry Mill Road, for a report of a burglary that occurred between March 15 and March 20, 2026. The investigation determined that a window had been broken to gain entry and that an undisclosed number of items had been stolen.

As a result of the investigation, Cengiz Camlicay, age 44 of Ashburn, was charged with burglary and possession of burglary tools and is currently being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center.
