Leesburg, VA (July 20, 2026) – The Town of Leesburg has published its first-ever Budget in Brief, a new public-facing summary designed to make the Town’s annual budget more accessible, transparent, and easier to understand.

The new publication presents the key highlights of the Fiscal Year 2027 Adopted Budget and the Fiscal Year 2027–2032 Capital Improvements Program (CIP) in a concise, user-friendly format. It is envisioned to serve as a complement to the larger budget document.

“The new Budget in Brief document is part of the collective effort of our Budget Team and Town staff to increase transparency of how the Town uses its financial resources,” stated Chief Financial Officer Owen Snyder. “We encourage our residents, business owners, and community partners to explore this new resource to gain a clear, at-a-glance understanding of how Town funds are invested to support services, infrastructure, and the community’s long-term priorities.”

The FY2027 Adopted Budget in Brief can be found at www.leesburgva.gov/budget. It will be published alongside the adopted budget document beginning next year.
