Town Receives Creative Communities Partnership Grant

Five local art organizations have been selected as recipients.

Leesburg, VA (July 6, 2026) – The Town of Leesburg is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a Creative Communities Partnership Grant, in the amount of $4,500, from the Virginia Commission for the Arts (VCA).

The commission provides up to $4,500, which must be awarded to independent arts organizations that will host art activities within the Town during the upcoming fiscal year.

Local government must also be able to match the award. The Fiscal Year 2027 budget (July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027) includes $5,500 of matching funds, making a total of $10,000 available for distribution.

In March, the Leesburg Town Council approved the Leesburg Commission on Public Art’s (COPA) recommendation to distribute the award between five local organizations who applied for the grant at the beginning of the year:

  • Friends of Leesburg Public Arts, $6,000
  • Loudoun Chorale, $1,375
  • Loudoun Ballet, $1,375
  • Loudoun Community Band, $750
  • A Place to Be, $500
