Evergreen Mill Road MapLeesburg, VA (June 26, 2026) – Beginning Monday, June 29, Verizon will relocate overhead utilities along Evergreen Mill Road, between South King Street and the Heritage High School entrance.

This work is being done in preparation for the Evergreen Mill Road Widening Project, which will expand the roadway from two lanes to four.

Work will take place Monday through Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. and is expected to continue through August. Weather and field conditions may impact the schedule.

Drivers may experience intermittent lane closures. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained whenever possible.

The Evergreen Mill Road Widening Project includes approximately 1.3 miles of roadway from South King Street (Route 15) to the Heritage High School entrance, just south of Battlefield Parkway. In addition to widening the road, the project will include a sidewalk on one side, a shared-use path on the other, as well as curb, gutter, storm drainage improvements, and utility relocations.

More information about the project, including how to sign up for updates, is available at www.leesburgva.gov/evergreenmill.
