Leesburg, VA (March 9, 2026) – Members of the public are invited to attend a community vision session in support of the Leesburg Parks & Recreation Master Plan. 

The 20-Year Comprehensive Parks and Recreation Master Plan has been under development since fall 2025. The Town has contracted with Berry Dunn, a national consulting firm, to lead the effort under the theme “Small Town Charm – Big Ideas.”

The community vision sessions offer the public an opportunity to share feedback directly with Town staff and Berry Dunn employees that will aid in defining long-term priorities, desired outcomes, and investment direction for the master plan. It will also provide attendees insight into where the Parks & Recreation Department is in the master planning process and the input provided thus far.

Each community vision session will be approximately 90 minutes and will include briefings from the master plan consultants on data that has been collected along with small group and facilitated discussions to gather public feedback on Town recreation topics.  Both sessions are identical and  will be held in the lower-level meeting room of Ida Lee Park Recreation Center at the following times:

• Thursday, March 19 @ 10:00 a.m.
• Thursday, March 19 @ 6:00 p.m.

The sessions are open to any interested members of the public.
