Leesburg, VA (March 2, 2026) – In celebration of the yearlong 250th celebration of American independence, the Town of Leesburg has launched a webpage in honor of the milestone. Leesburg 250 logo

The Leesburg Celebrates America 250 webpage includes information about celebratory events occurring in the Town this year, from book talks, exhibits, and discussions at Thomas Balch Library, to Town special events where the 250th anniversary will be specially commemorated.

The webpage also includes a history of Leesburg in the American Revolution, along with relevant videos and story maps. More content will be added to the webpage throughout the year.

“I invite everyone, from history buffs to novices, to visit our special 250 webpage and learn more about American history and the part that Leesburg has played in shaping our nation. I hope everyone includes a stop (or more) in Leesburg during this special yearlong celebration,” stated Mayor Kelly Burk.

The Leesburg Celebrates America 250 webpage can be found at www.leesburgva.gov/leesburg250.
