Leesburg, VA (February 12, 2026) – The Leesburg Police Department has announced an arrest in connection with a larceny at the AT&T Store at 1604 Village Market Boulevard in Leesburg in December 2025.
On December 23, 2025, at approximately 3:30 p.m., a male entered the store and used a tool to cut the security cables attached to merchandise before fleeing the store with the stolen items.
Through investigative efforts, detectives identified the suspect as Melsun S. Perry, 34, of Hyattsville, Maryland. A warrant for grand larceny was obtained on January 13, 2026.
Perry was arrested by the Calvert County (MD) Sheriff’s Office on February 10, 2026, and transported to the Calvert County Adult Detention Center. He is currently being held without bond on the Leesburg Police Department charge, as well as on charges stemming from other jurisdictions.

Leesburg Police Investigating Larceny at AT&T Store
Leesburg, VA (December 24, 2025) – The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a larceny that occurred Tuesday afternoon at the AT&T Store located at 1604 Village Market Boulevard in Leesburg.
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on December 23, 2025, a male entered the store and used a tool to cut the security cables attached to merchandise, then fled the store. The suspect is described as a Black male wearing a black jacket with a logo on the left chest, blue jeans, and a white mask.
The investigation is ongoing.
