Leesburg, VA (January 27, 2026) – Town facilities, including Thomas Balch Library and Leesburg Executive Airport, will reopen on Wednesday, January 28, but on unscheduled leave. Employees who staff essential Town operations and other essential services will work as scheduled.
Ida Lee Park Recreation Center will operate from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Group fitness classes will be held as scheduled, during those hours, while fee-based classes are cancelled. The Tennis Center will remain closed through Friday. For questions regarding tennis classes and schedules, call the recreation center at 703-777-1368.
Trash and recycling services will resume on Wednesday, January 28. The
revised collection schedule can be found on the Town website.
Please note, the
emergency snow route restrictions are still in place. The Public Works Department began a
snow haul-out operation in the downtown business area on Tuesday, which will continue Wednesday morning.
Work will concentrate on one block at a time with temporary road closures within the block of work. Please follow staff directions when driving or walking in the area of work. Access to the Town Hall parking garage will be maintained during the haul-out operation.
