Leesburg, VA (January 23, 2026) – Based on the current weather forecasts and to facilitate snow removal efforts, a snow emergency declaration will take effect on Saturday, January 24, at 6 p.m.
In accordance with the Town of Leesburg's Emergency Operations Plan, the Town Manager or his designee will declare a snow emergency when conditions, or predicted weather conditions, indicate a significant snow or ice event. When a snow emergency is in effect, vehicles must be removed from snow emergency routes, which include the following roadways:
• King Street, from Oakcrest Manor to Country Club Drive
• Loudoun Street, from Liberty Street to Harrison Street
• Market Street, from Fairview Street east to the Route 7/15 Bypass
The
snow emergency routes map is available on the Town website. Any vehicles remaining on designated snow emergency routes once snow removal operations begin will be towed at the owners’ expense. Residents are encouraged to remove vehicles and other items like trailers, trash cans, and basketball goals from all public roads and sidewalks within the Town roadways to assist with snow clearing efforts.
