Rolling Street Closures to Occur During Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. March

MLK MarchLeesburg, VA (January 16, 2026) – The 35th annual Martin Luther King, Jr. “I Have a Dream” March and Celebration will be held on Monday, January 19. 

The event, organized and hosted by the MLK Diversity-Engagement Foundation, will begin at the Loudoun County Courthouse at 10 a.m. Marchers will proceed from the courthouse lawn to East Market Street as they make their way to Douglass High School, 407 E Market Street, in Leesburg.

Portions of East Market Street, from North King Street to Catoctin Circle, will be closed beginning at 9:30 a.m. in preparation for the march. Edwards Ferry Road, between Harrison and Church streets, will close to traffic at approximately 10 a.m. Rolling street closures will take place as the event proceeds along East Market Street. Drivers should follow police direction and be prepared for minor delays.
