Leesburg, VA (November 28, 2025) – The Town of Leesburg’s Department of Community Development and Department of Economic Development are once again hosting a holiday storefront decorating contest from Saturday, November 29 through Monday, December 15. 

Downtown Leesburg is home to more than 85 businesses that make it the perfect destination for your holiday shopping season. Nearly all of them have decorated their storefront windows for a chance to win, “Most Festive Window” and you can help decide.  

The top nominees will be recognized on social media. The grand prize winner will be selected by a committee from the top public nominees and will receive four hours of handyman services.  The winner and finalists will be announced on December 22. 

“We have a great historic district, and our businesses work so hard, all year, to help keep downtown Leesburg such a unique destination while preserving our community’s character and culture,” said Preservation Manager Lauren Murphy. “Last year’s contest was wildly popular with Robin Lee Hair and Makeup as the ultimate winner.  We are bringing it back this year to encourage people to shop small this holiday season while also helping people maintain the historic integrity of the district. We can’t wait to see everyone participate in this friendly competition and we hope everyone will enjoy the holidays in historic Leesburg.”
