Leesburg Elementary School Wins 2025 “Paint the Plow” Art Contest

This year’s theme was “Plow into Your Favorite Book”. Their plow design, “Alice”, received 1,055 votes.
Catoctin Elementary School’s “Catoctin and the Purple Crayon” design came in second with 614 votes. “Naruto”, painted by students at Smarts Mill Middle School, came in third place with 479 votes. All three schools will receive a monetary award for their participation.
The “Paint the Plow” art project is sponsored by the Leesburg Commission on Public Art (COPA) and the Friends of Leesburg Public Arts (FOLPA). The winners were selected by the public using an online survey. All three snowplows will be featured in the Town’s upcoming Christmas and Holiday parade in December and while plowing Town streets during snow events.
