"A Brief History of Leesburg" Presentation Scheduled at Thomas Balch Library

Leesburg, VA (August 21, 2025) Thomas Balch Library will host Betsy Arnett for a presentation on “A Brief History of Leesburg”  Thursday, September 4, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The talk will be held both in-person at the Brief History of Leesburg library and virtually.

Over her 20-plus-year career with the Town of Leesburg, Arnett served in a variety of roles, including Economic Development Director, Public Information Officer, and Senior Management Analyst with the Town Manager’s Office before retiring in February 2025. She holds a master’s degree in Public History from the University of South Carolina.

Arnett will take attendees along a journey through nearly three centuries of Leesburg history, from its inception to present day.

This class will take place in the lower-level meeting room of Thomas Balch Library, 208 West Market Street, in Leesburg. Pre-registration is required. Please call 703-737-7195, email balchlib@leesburgva.gov, or register online.
