Leesburg, VA (July 23, 2025) – The Leesburg Police Department is excited to invite the community to join us for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Douglass Community Center playground, located at 405 E. Market Street.

National Night Out is a nationwide initiative that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live. The event provides an opportunity for community members to meet members of the Leesburg Police Department in a fun and relaxed setting.

This year’s event will include:

- Free food and refreshments
- Moon bounce, games, and activities for kids
- Interactive displays and equipment demos
- Community Resource booths and more! 

Chief of Police Thea Pirnat stated, “National Night Out is a special event that brings our community together. It’s more than a night of fun – it’s about building trust, strengthening relationships, and working side by side to keep our community safe.”

The Leesburg Police Department encourages all those who live, work, and visit to come out, meet their local officers, and enjoy an evening of family-friendly fun.
