Post Date:12/11/2023 2:08 PM

Zoe CarllLeesburg, VA (December 11, 2023) – Zoe Carll, 21, of Centreville has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated.  The charge stems from a crash which occurred on Saturday, December 9, 2023.

At approximately 11:35 PM Saturday night, Leesburg Police Officers were investigating an unrelated crash with reported injuries on East Market Street in the area of Prosperity Avenue SE.  The officers blocked the left lane of East Market Street with their marked cruisers with their emergency lights activated in order to safely assist those involved in the crash.  A few minutes later, a vehicle struck the rear of one of the LPD cruisers.  The cruiser was unoccupied at the time of the crash and no injuries were reported.  Pursuant to an investigation, the driver, Zoe Carll, was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.

The Leesburg Police Department reminds motorists that driving while intoxicated is never worth the risk. Alcohol impairs judgment, slows reaction time, and endangers lives.  Choose responsibility – designate a sober driver, use public transportation, or rideshare services.  Your decisions behind the wheel affect more than just you.
