The Town of Leesburg is proud to offer family-friendly events and festivals to residents and visitors alike. Take in the sights and sounds of Historic Downtown Leesburg while enjoying one of our many festive events, gather in Ida Lee Park to celebrate Independence Day, or search for the perfect gift during one of two annual fine arts and crafts shows held at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center. No matter your interests, the Town of Leesburg is home to an event for everyone. Community events that are held in Leesburg but not hosted by the Town may be found on the Town of Leesburg’s community calendar.

Leesburg Parks & Recreation Department 2020 EVENTS:
Spring Bling, a Hometown Fine Arts & Crafts Show: Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center. Shop for handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gifts. The event is free to the public and opens at 9:00 a.m and runs until 4:00 p.m.
Leesburg’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt: Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Ida Lee Park. The Hunt is on for candy and prize filled eggs, with family friendly events and photos with the Easter Bunny. The gates open at noon and the event runs until 3:00 p.m. Registration is required.
30th Annual Leesburg Flower and Garden Festival: Saturday, April 18, 2020 from 10:00 a.m until 6:00 p.m and Sunday, April 19, 2020 from 10:00 a.m until 5:00 p.m in Downtown Leesburg. The Festival boasts 150 vendors which include landscapers, gardening suppliers, plant sellers, and outdoor living furniture. There is also live music entertainment, kids’ activities, and food.
Leesburg Kids to Parks Day: Saturday, May 16, 2020 from 8:00 a.m until 10:00 p.m. The Town of Leesburg will celebrate National Kids to Parks Day by hosting a photo contest to encourage families to get outside and visit the Town of Leesburg’s Parks.
Memorial Day Ceremony: Monday, May 27, 2020 at 10:00 a.m on the grounds of the Loudoun County Courthouse. The observance is held annually and includes the laying of the wreaths at several war memorials.
Acoustic on the Green: Saturdays, 7:00 p.m-8:30 p.m, June 6 – August 22, 2020. No concert will be held on July 4th, or August 8th. This Town of Leesburg summer concert series is free to the public and is held on the Town Green in front of Leesburg’s Town Hall.
30th Annual Independence Day Celebration: Saturday, July 4, 2020. The Independence Day Parade will begin at 10:00 a.m, held on King Street in Downtown Leesburg. Later in the day, come to Ida Lee Park for the celebration’s concert and fireworks. Gates open at 6:00 p.m, the concert begins at 6:30 p.m, and fireworks will light the sky at 9:30 p.m.
Leesburg Airshow: Saturday, September 26, 2020 from 11:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m at the Leesburg Executive Airport. Enjoy a day of air acts, aviation displays, demonstrations, festival food, and inflatables for the kids. SATELLITE PARKING ONLY.
Freeze Your Gizzard Cross Country 5K and 1 mile Fun Run: Saturday, November 21, 2020. The 5K race will begin at 9:00 a.m and the 1 mile Fun Run will start at 9:45 a.m; both from Ida Lee Park in front of the gazebo. Gates will open at 7:00 a.m.
HOLIDAYS IN LEESBURG:
30th Annual Holiday Fine Arts & Crafts Show: Saturday, December 5, 2020 from 9:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m and Sunday, December 6, 2020 from 10:00 a.m until 4:00 p.m. Shop for handcrafted, one-of-a-kind gifts and holiday décor at Ida Lee Park Recreation Center.
Jingle Jam Concerts: Three concerts will take place Saturday, December 12, 2020 and tickets will go on sale on Monday November 9th. The matinée performance begins at 2:30 p.m, the evening performance at 8:00 p.m, and the children’s concert, Junior Jam, begins at 11:30 a.m.
