It is the responsibility of the Town of Leesburg to procure goods and services in compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act and the goal of the Purchasing Division to do so in a fair and impartial manner. The Purchasing Division is committed to achieving the maximum degree of competition applicable for every procurement transaction and for ensuring that quality goods and services are available when needed.
The Purchasing Division utilizes the centralized Bidders List maintained by the Commonwealth’s Division of Purchases and Supply. To register your firm for inclusion on this list, go to www.eva.state.va.us and click on the “VENDOR” tab. Town staff are encouraged to utilize this list in developing their sources of suppliers to be invited to participate in any given procurement transaction.
The Purchasing Office posts all formal Invitation for Bids and Request for Proposals on both the Town’s Bid Board and on the Commonwealth’s e-Procurement site.
The Town has adopted PPEA/PPTA procedures (PDF 148K).
