The West Market Street Improvements capital project includes construction of curb and gutter, storm drainage system, and sidewalk installation along the north side of West Market Street from Morven Park Road to Fairview Street, as well as replacement of a water main. Sidewalks will be brick from Morven Park Road to Wilson Avenue (dividing line for the H1-Historic District) to provide the missing link to downtown, then concrete from Wilson Avenue to Fairview Street. The sidewalk will link to the entire Town-wide trail system via the Fairview Trail which leads to the Ida Lee Trail. Additionally, conduits will be placed underground for future undergrounding of the overhead utility lines.
Project Status: On schedule with expected completion of spring 2008.
